Cornbread

It's been a long while since I made a post but I thought what the hey, let's make cornbread.

Step 1: Ingredients
0.75 cups coarse ground cornmeal
0.75 cups fine ground cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 mixing bowls (one for the dry, one for the wet)

You don't really have to use two different types of cornmeal, you could go with 1.5 cups of whatever cornmeal you like. However, having tried it with solely course ground, solely fine ground and a mix, I really prefer the mix.

Also, preheat your oven to 425° F .

Here's what the coarse ground cornmeal looks like:

And this is the fine ground:

Step 2: Add all of the dry ingredients to one bowl

Step 3: Whisk them until thoroughly mixed

Step 4: Melt the butter in the other bowl

Step 4: Mix the egg in to the butter

Step 5: Mix the milk in to that

Step 6: Pour the dry ingredients in to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.

Step 7: Lightly butter a baking dish of your choosing, then pour the batter in to it

Step 8: Bake at 425 for 20 minutes
